Reading makes me smile :)

What is it about reading that makes me so happy?? Is it the fact that when you read a book, your imagination becomes so vivid that you feel like you know the characters in the book on a personal level? Or that you can escape the real world for a little while and not have any worries?? Well I love to read because of all these reasons!! I'm about to start reading, "The Help" By Kathryn Stockett and I'm super excited :).......So remember my post about reading the Bible? Well I finished the Gospel of Mark and it was great. It was basically stories about Jesus' life and teachings. My favorite verse from Mark is Mark 8:36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?....this is so true and many people forget this.  I'm about to start Luke, so updates to come soon!

"All I Want for Christmas is a Career"

No one every told me life would be THIS tough. It's not that I'm not grateful for what I have, because I am. It's just that everyone tells you to go to school, get a degree and you'll get a good paying career. Well that hasn't happen for me yet and it's been 6 months since I graduated from college. I guess I have to "wait" my turn but it just doesn't seem fair. I'm tired of part-time jobs and getting pushed around. As the title of this post says, "All I want for Christmas is a Career"...that's exactly what I want. A career. Not a job that pays $8 an hour...not a job that doesn't give benefits...not a job that expects so much from you and gives you so little....A Career! ok well that is all the ranting and raving I have for you today. I just needed to say it to someone.

Hello! 
So I am new to this whole "posting" thing but I think I am getting the hang of it. I wanted to create a blog to write down my thoughts, dreams, aspirations, and basically anything that comes to my head that I probably shouldn't say out loud to people! I also wanted to do a Bible challenge. For two years now, I have been saying that I want to read the Bible. I mean really READ the Bible, understanding the messages within. I want to post what I have read and what I think it means. I kind of want to read it within 6 months but I don't know if that is pushing it or not...we will find out :) I think God would understand if it took me a little longer. Tomorrow will be my first day and I will begin reading the Gospel of Mark. I will post my comments and keep you updated hopefully on a regular basis. Wish me luck!
